New Year's Eve, 2009

Hip hip hooray!  Not a banner year in the Freeman world, not the worst year either.  I'm longing for a year ending in "0" though.  Just like "0" years for some reason.

As a good percentage of the world is already in 2010, Happy New Year to them and Happy almost New Year to the rest us.  I'll be sound asleep at Midnight, as always.  After the last horrible New Year's party I went to over 20 years ago, I vowed to be home and safe on New Year's watching scary movies and such.

Resolutions, no, plans, yes:

Plans 2010:
1:  Get my etsy up and running
2:  Spend more time doing things I love
3:  Job hunting for a transfer job at a campus, preferably
4:  Take better care of myself, all around
5:  Just be a better person

and 6: is a big MAYBE, add a puppy to the dog posse...we'll see, sounds good in theory.

Well, all have a fantastic night whatever your plans.  Be careful and be good to one another.

Peace and Love, really, in the New Year!

Slept most of the day....

I'm off for two glorious weeks.  Yes, I'm bragging, but I can't help it.  I slept most of the day today and I do not even feel guilty about it.  I will clean for the next couple of days and then I can get down to some serious creating.

The dogs indulged my lack of attention for the day.  Perhaps they sensed my need to rest.  I was so emotionally tired.

Okay, now I'm hungry...laters..............

I have a follower....

OMG, just had to take a moment to thank BEAD A Day for listing as a follower on my often neglected blog.  What a proud moment.  I look at her blog everyday and you can too by clicking:

http://abeadaday.blogspot.com/

It was a busy day today at the old education mill.  Lots of grinding down of brains and original thoughts.

Anyway...............pay a visit to Bead a day.  Today Lisa talked about a gift she had received. Too wonderful.  It is a joyful read!  Big hugs to Lisa Crone(((Lisa))), made my day, yes siree-bob!

Wow, talk about...........

Talk about bad bloggers....I'm Elizabeth and I'm a bad blogger, my last post was Nov 11.  EEK-gads.  Well, what is new in Elizabeth Land?  Not much.  Lots of work drama, oh and well.  Really bored with the work drama, so will leave it there.

I have managed to make some new pieces and entered a contest, Use the Muse III.  Can't wait to see the gallery of entries, very excited.  I will post a pic of my entry once the big reveal happens.  Everything is very hush hush for now.

Use the Muse really got my creativity mood up and running.  I needed a deadline, or something, to recharge and this process really did it.  I felt committed to the process, which I really needed to feel about something.  Commitment has been lacking in Elizabeth-ville as of late.  So just the kick in the toukas that I needed.  The reveal is Friday I believe at the Beader's Muse website, which you can reach here:

Scarlet Lanson is the sweetest!  Very diligent and special to work with.  She made sure everyone had what they needed and adjusted deadlines as necessary.  If you haven't participated in Use the Muse, it is must do.  So worth the price of admission.

Okay, enough gushing.  Have a great week and I'll see everyone (does anyone visit this place) at the weekend,  maybe sooner...don't hold your breath, ha!
